Moonlight Workshop Layouts

This weekend, I was busy creating scrapbook layouts with the ultra fun Moonlight kit.

If you would like to attend this workshop, please contact me by tomorrow to place your order for the workshop kit and the complements. I added some extra cardstock to complete these layouts as shown, along with some baker's twine from the neutral assortment. You will notice some fun images that were cut on both the Art Philosophy Cartridge, as well as the new Artiste Cartridge.

The workshop date is Sunday, October 14th from 1pm-5pm. If you are unable to make the workshop, you are welcome to purchase the kit and create at home. :)

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. It is a gorgeous fall day in Northern Michigan with colors starting to peak in some areas.

Happy Campers Layout

The other night, I decided to scrap a layout for Jack's album. Last month, we went camping for my birthday.

I used to always just scrap in order by date. But nowadays, I find myself skipping all over the place. It helps to have a 3-ring album to restructure stuff every now and then. Once I have a set amount of layouts in order, I transfer them to the album they will stay in FOREVER. LOL
I have really enjoyed playing with my free paper and embellishments. The chipboard elements are adhesive-backed! Love it! Everything is Cosmo Cricket "S'More Love", except for Desert Sand and Colonial White Cardstock, which is Close To My Heart.

Happy Crafting!

Lucky Back To School Layout

On Sunday, I found this cute sketch at Heart2Heart Challenges Blog.
Paper: Lucky, Outdoor Denim CS, Sunset CS (CTMH); Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH); Other: Glue Dots, Neutral Baker's Twine, Sunset Mini-Medley Accents, Lucky Assortment, Lucky Journaling Spots (CTMH)

I am so pleased with how this layout turned out. Sometimes, you just fine the perfect sketch to go with your pictures and paper.

Bliss Anniversary Card

Hi! Just dropping in with a quick post today to wish my in-laws a Happy Anniversary!
I found inspiration from this blog. The squares are 1.5". I hand-stitched the border in chocolate embroidery floss. The front of the card and the envelope was stamped with Card Word Puzzle, and the inside uses one of my favorite sentiments from retired TLC stamp set.

This went together super quick, stitching and all! Have a wonderful day!

On Saturday, my kids and I were invited to a surprise 25th anniversary party. I put together this layout using the Make It From Your Heart book, added 2 page protectors, and one of our fabulous Quick-Pic Albums (wish we still had the 12x12 them!). This was our gift, along with taking pictures at the event.

Paper: Bliss, Colonial White CS, White Daisy CS, Chocolate CS, Grey Flannel CS (CTMH); Stamps: Bliss, Bohemian Alphabet (CTMH); Inks: Chocolate, Grey Wool, Petal (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Sponge, Paper-Piercer (CTMH); Other: Irresistables Chipboard, Licorice Opaques, Chocolate Stripe Ribbon (CTMH), Silver Ribbon, Glue Dots

Their wedding colors were lilac and silver. Happy Anniversary, Tim and Tina!

Mojo Monday 258 Card

Happy Sunday to you! It is a gorgeous day outside...perfect Autumn weather.

About two weeks ago, I made a happy discovery while blog surfing. My name was randomly drawn on Moxie Fab World, and I won the cutest little collection from Cosmo Cricket called "S'More Love". It arrived via FedEx on Friday afternoon, just in time for the weekend. If you're a serious paper crafter, ahem, addict like me, than you will love this kit as much as I do.

Below, is a card I made today using this week's Mojo Monday #258 sketch.

Paper: S'More Love (Cosmo Cricket), Colonial White CS, Saddle CS (CTMH); Stamp: S'More Love (Cosmo Cricket); Inks: Saddle, Topiary (CTMH); Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer (CTMH); Other: Baker's Twine (CTMH); Brad (K&Company), Foam Tape

There's still time to play along with Mojo Monday, but you better hurry...this week's sketch ends today. In the words of my fellow CTMH Consultant (Paige Dolecki) "Stay crafty my friends!"

Hooligans Birthday Card for Heather Jane

I created another quick card on Sunday for my dear friend, Miss Heather Jane. We met through Close To My Heart in May of 2011, when we both joined this fabulous company.

Today, is Heather Jane's birthday. I'm hoping she has received this card by now. LOL
I found a previous Mojo Monday sketch (255) that I thought would work well with a birthday theme and showcase the cute label from the new Artiste cartridge.

Paper: Hooligans Black CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH) Stamp: Cricut Artiste Collection (CTMH); Inks: Black, Lagoon, Sunset, Gypsy (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Cricut Artiste Cartridge (CTMH), Scallop Border Punch (SU!); Other: Star Brads, Orange Ribbon

Happy Birthday, Miss Heather Jane! I know you already received one of the best gifts a person could get. :)

Liebster Blog Award

I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by Eva Friesen, a fellow Close To My Heart Consultant. You can view her blog here. Thank you, Eva! I am truly humbled and grateful. :)

I have been blogging for a little over a year now. It is great fun to share my love of photography and paper crafting with you, my friends.

Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!

So now comes the fun part! I am going to give out 5 nominations. Yippee! Here are the 5 A-maz-ing blogs with less than 200 followers that I would like to pass the Liebster Award on to:

Have a wonderful day! Thank you for stopping by, and if you have a moment, please stop by these other fabulous blogs and let them know that Scrappinbliss sent you. :)

Paper: Hooligans, Black CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH); Stamp: Artiste Collection (CTMH); Inks: Black, Gypsy (CTMH); Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Corner Rounder, Cricut Artiste Cartridge, Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (CTMH); Other: Green Ribbon, Star Brads

Clementine So Sweet Layout

Earlier in the week, I googled CTMH Clementine and found the cutest layout created by a fellow consultant. You can view her layout here.

I loved it so much, I decided to pull out my scraps and my extra paper pack to complete one for my daughter's scrapbook.
Paper: Clementine, Saddle CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH); Stamp: Rustic Alphabet (CTMH); Inks: Sorbet, Saddle (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer (CTMH); Other: Cherish How-To-Program, Clementine Canvas Shapes, Cottage Assortment, Brown & Tan Sparkles, Burlap Ribbon (CTMH)

Isn't this adorable? I can't wait to add photo's to it. But I decided I should wait for now, just in case the perfect photo's show up later in my "to be scrapped" pile.

Have a great day!

My Darling Clementine

I fell in love with Clementine the minute I first saw it on my computer screen...even before I received the new book in my hands. The colors are soft and pretty. I was happy to see an old favorite (Sorbet) among the list of colors. This kit even features three of our new colors...Champagne, Saddle and Cashmere. I think this kit would even work for boy's pages, to be truthful. By switching the floral to the brown side, mini-floral to yellow, and sorbet to twilight, you could create some cute masculine pages.

Okay, so I decided to create layouts different from the book with this kit. If you order the workshop kit, you will receive instructions on how to create the workshop layouts. If you love this kit as much as I do, you may want to add a second paper pack (like I did) to allow you to create even more layouts and/or cards.
Layout #1

Layout #2
Layout #3
Layout #4
I believe I had one full sheet, plus some scraps left over after creating the above pages. If you opt to create the last layout, you may need to purchase a coordinating piece of cardstock from me. I ended up diving in to a second paper pack I had in my stash to finish the brown shapes.

My workshop is scheduled for Sunday, September 23rd, 1-5pm. R.S.V.P. today to reserve your spot.

Here is a list of items you will want to purchase to create these layouts:

Fanfare Birthday Layout

I decided to keep this last scrapbook page simple and understated. The photo's will pop off the page.
Paper: Fanfare, Florentine, White Daisy CS, Black CS (CTMH); Stamps: Fanfare WOTG (CTMH); Inks: Pacifica, Cranberry, Black, Honey (CTMH); Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH); Other: Make It From Your Heart Volume I how-to book (CTMH)

Miracle Summer Wishes Layout

This is the last full layout in the baby album I've been showcasing for the past 1 1/2 weeks.

I think when this layout has pictures on it, it will be very darling. I love that pop of bright blue provided from the cardstock bases. The flowers were stamped in 3 different blue's. I used the same technique we were taught in the Footloose workshop (sponge daubing).

Paper: Miracle, Chocolate CS, Bamboo CS, White Daisy CS, Dutch Blue CS (CTMH); Stamps: Splendor WOTG, Splendid Day (CTMH); Inks: Heavenly Blue, Crystal Blue, Twighlight, Pacifica, Colonial White (CTMH); Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH); Other: Bitty Sparkles, Green Brads, Milepost Shapes, Neutral Baker's Twine (CTMH)

It was so fast and easy to create gorgeous, fun layouts from the new Make It From Your Heart book.  Hope you're having a happy, crafty day!

Lucky America Layout

Today's layout showcases Lucky. The blue bubble paper was my favorite from this kit and this layout used up the last of it (sad face).
Paper: Lucky, Outdoor Denim CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH); Stamp: American Celebration (CTMH); Inks: Black, Honey, Pacifica, Cranberry (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer (CTMH), Circle Punch; Other: Blue Buttons, Blue Brads, Neutral Embroidery Floss, Make It From Your Heart Volume I (CTMH)

This layout is the perfect way to use up lots of small scraps. The fun embellishment strips in the corners add interest to the layout. I can't stress enough that our new Make It From Your Heart how-to publication is a must-have. For just $7.95, you get 16 double-page layouts, 2 single-page layouts, and 12 card patterns. It's a superb value and a resource that you will be using for years to come.
Isn't it cute?

Have a wonderful day!

Miracle Paradise Layout

Yesterday, I spent the day creating layouts for my Clementine workshop coming up on the 23rd. I can't wait to share them with you. But first, I need to finish my tour of the baby album I created last week.

Paper: Miracle, Colonial White CS, Sweet Leaf CS (CTMH); Stamps: Bohemian Alphabet, Makin' Waves, Footloose WOTG (CTMH); Inks: Chocolate, Twilight (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Watercolor Pencils (CTMH); Other: Kraft Borders, Antique Copper Brads, Liquid Glass, Make It From Your Heart Volume I book (CTMH)

I created the bubbles (close-up in second picture) by stamping, then coloring in with a blue pencil, and finally I added a dollop of liquid glass (glue) to each bubble. I let it dry over night, though it only needs about an hour, give or take. This stamp set retired last year, but it's so perfect for so many uses. I thought this new mom might use beach or pool pictures, or even bath time pictures, but if baby has a stuffed ducky, it could even be used with those pictures.

Hope you're having a great holiday weekend. For those of you heading home, I wish you safe travels.

Miracle Easter Layout

Happy Sunday to you! I am so happy to have a day with my family, and perhaps a little crafting time, too!
This is the next layout I created for a baby album. I love the pop of chocolate next to the blues and greens of this fun layout.

Paper: Miracle, Colonial White CS, Chocolate CS (CTMH); Stamps: Splendid Day, Springtime, A Hop (CTMH); Inks: Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, Buttercup (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH), Picket Fence Border Punch (MS); Other: Make It From Your Heart Volume I How-To Book (CTMH)

Miracle Pure Joy Layout

I've having a yard sale today. If you're in the Northern Michigan area, stop on by. Lots of great kids clothes for sale, some baby items, even some used and new stamp sets.

So, last weekend I created an entire baby album for a special family member. Here is the next layout.
Paper: Miracle, Bamboo CS, Colonial White CS, Chocolate CS (CTMH); Stamps: Chocolate Large Alphabet, Miracle WOTG Stamp (CTMH); Inks: Chocolate, Twilight (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer (CTMH); Other: Blue Buttons, Sweet Leaf Ribbon, Chocolate Ribbon, Antique Copper Brads, Neutral Embroidery Floss, Journal Tag, Kraft Borders (CTMH)

Miracle was a perfect paper pack for baby boy layouts. I loved making these cute pinwheels.

Hope you're having a safe and happy holiday weekend. I hope to get some craft time in tomorrow. :)
